Snowshoe Hike by the stegastein viewpoint

Experience the Norwegian winter on snowshoes!

This guided hike will take you into our local mountains, for an exceptional view of the fjord at Stegastein viewpoint in Aurland. Enjoy the breathtaking view of the Aurlandsfjord and experience how it is to hike on traditional snowshoes. The spectacular landscape has shaped the way of life for generations and your guide will share stories, local history and even some tales from this spectacular area. As on traditional Norwegian snowshoe hikes, there will be served hot beverages to warm you up. The trip is suitable for beginners and is a fun way to access nature during the winter season. General fitness is required, but no experience is needed.

Clothes and equipment: Please wear warm personal clothes as the temperatures may become very low during the winter season. We recommend wearing wool!
Meeting time: 20 minutes prior to departure at FjordSafari outdoor reception (close to the Flåm Railway). The trip starts and ends here.
